As 2025 comes to a close, all of us at Do Unto Others Assistance Dogs would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the encouragement, generosity, and support you’ve shared with us this year. Because of you, our fledgling nonprofit has grown and is building life-changing partnerships between dogs and the people who need them most.
April 2026 will mark two years since Do Unto Others officially began, and as we close out the year, we are proud to share where your support has brought us:
- A total of 28 D.U.O. dogs in development or partnership
- 2 working teams currently partnered and serving
- 11 D.U.O. Supported Owner Trainer dogs living and training with their owners with weekly, bi-monthly or monthly training support sessions provided by D.U.O. trainers
- 2 D.U.O. Hybrid dogs raised and trained by D.U.O. volunteer puppy raisers and their owners together
- 4 D.U.O. Prime pups purchased by owners and raised by D.U.O. volunteer puppy raisers to meet their specific needs
- 9 DUO Program dogs being raised by D.U.O. puppy raisers to be matched with future clients
Our Owner-Supported Teams commit to working with us for a minimum of six months as they grow their skills and confidence. And for our Service Dogs in Training (PRIME / HYBRID / PROGRAM), the journey to readiness is a significant one— requiring about 2 to 2.5 years of training, development, and preparation before they are fully and skillfully partnered with their person.
